Who we are

This website is run by Layer 83 Ltd ("Layer83", "we"), a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 07865358). For anything about your data, email info@layer83.co.uk.

What we collect

When you email us. If you email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply, discuss and deliver your project. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps towards a contract at your request.

Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not identify or track you across sites.

Security logs. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.

When you use our contact form. The form sends your name, email address, company, timing and message to us through Web3Forms, a form-delivery service that forwards it to our inbox. We use it only to reply to your enquiry, on the same lawful basis as above.

We don't use advertising, tracking pixels or marketing cookies, and we never sell your data.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own, which is why there is no cookie banner. Embedded Vimeo players on some project pages may set strictly necessary security cookies on vimeo.com to protect their service; they are not used for tracking or advertising.

Embedded films

Some project pages embed films from Vimeo (with Do Not Track switched on) and YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode). Images and video are served from our own media server. When an embedded film plays, the provider may receive technical data under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting work. Business records are kept for up to six years to meet UK accounting and legal requirements, then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email info@layer83.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
