A nine-month engagement with Framestore's design studio on National Geographic's six-part global event series MARS, which premiered worldwide on 13 November 2016.
Working closely with Framestore's wider VFX team, producers at Imagine Entertainment and RadicalMedia, and series director Everardo Gout, Layer83 art directed and led the design of the screen content throughout the show.
The work ran in two phases — pre- and post-production — with more than 700 screens delivered, including 80 for the on-set Mission Control alone, plus screens for the spaceship Daedalus and the Mars rover.
